According To The Order Of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission, Zonal Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum, Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum, Zone-I Panchkula And Zone-II Rohtak
Chandigarh, August 23 – According to the order of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission, Zonal Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum, Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum, Zone-I Panchkula and Zone-II Rohtak have been established by Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam for redressal of consumer complaints. The Zonal Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum shall hear complaints relating to financial disputes of an amount exceeding to Rs. 1 lakh and up to Rs. 3 lakh each as per Regulation 2.8.2. On August 29, the problems of consumers will be resolved in Zonal Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum, Panchkula and Rohtak.
Giving information in this regard, the spokesperson of the Corporation said that consumer complaints of the districts falling under Zone-I Panchkula namely Kurukshetra, Ambala, Panchkula, Kaithal and Yamunanagar and the districts under Zone-II Rohtak namely Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Jhajjar and Rohtak will be redressed. Under this, cases related to wrong billing of consumers, electricity rates, matters related to meter security, cases related to damaged meters, voltage related matters will be resolved. During this period, cases of power theft, misuse of electricity and fatal non-fatal accidents etc. will not be considered. The claim for each month calculated on the basis of average electricity charges paid by the consumer during the last six months prior to the submission of the complaint relating to financial disputes in the Forum for settlement of any dispute between the consumer and the Corporation. The amount paid or an amount equal to the electricity charges payable by him, whichever is less, shall be deposited by the consumer.
The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam appeals to the consumers falling under both the above zones to visit Zone-I Panchkula and Zone-II Rohtak on August 29, 2022 from 10 am to 12 noon to solve their electricity related issues.
