Chandigarh, August 17 – Haryana Power Minister, Chaudhary Ranjit Singh said that three-day ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has instilled the spirit of nationalism among the people and a sense of enthusiasm was seen among the folks from Kashmir to Kerala. It was the first time when the whole country got united to celebrate 75th ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
While interacting with the mediapersons at his office here today, Chaudhary Ranjit Singh said that this ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign was celebrated by rising above caste, religion, class and by uniting the whole country on one platform.
He said that a convoy of more than 1000 vehicles participated in the Tiranga yatra in his Assembly Constituency, Rania and the entire area was buzzing with the spirit of patriotism. In response to a query by mediapersons, the Power Minister said that the Supreme Court’s observation on the announcements and distribution of freebies by political parties is a serious issue which is correct and he added that this culture needs to be stopped.
In response to another question regarding Panchayat elections, Chaudhary Ranjit Singh said that the government is committed towards decentralization of power and the government is ready for the Panchayat elections. He said that the State Government is working strenuously while understanding the priorities of the general public. As far as the BJP-JJP alliance is concerned, it is up to the discretion of both the party’s high commands, he said.
