Vigilance helps needy during curfew, distributes ration to 100 poor families
Chandigarh, March 30
Aiming to provide essential commodities to poor families during the curfew, Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) today, distributed 100 packs of ration to 100 poor families at Shahkot, Jalandhar district. Disclosing this here, a spokesperson of the VB said VB officials under the supervision of SSP VB Jalandhar Range Daljinder Singh Dhillon has handed over 100 packs containing ration items sufficient to use in 10 days to 100 families living below poverty line. During the curfew, VB team of Jalandhar Range distributed ration/groceries to those who were in dire need of food and remaining 50 families would be feeded after fresh assessment.
He further added that all VB officers and officials have already donated their one day salary to Punjab Chief Minister’s Corona Relief Fund.
