Wajid Khan passes away – Wajid Khan of famous music duo Sajid-Wajid died at the age of 42. Singer Sonu Nigam has confirmed this sad news in a Facebook post. Wajid Khan’s family told that Wajid Khan was suffering from kidney disease and was transplanted two years ago. He had an infection in his throat. He was admitted to Surana Hospital in Chembur. His test report of Covid-19 is yet to come.
Sajid-Wajid has given hit music in many Salman Khan films. There has been a wave of mourning in Bollywood with the death of Wajid. The process of remembering and paying tribute to him continues.
According to the PTI report, 42-year-old Wajid died in a Mumbai hospital early Monday. The report quoted music composer Salim Merchant as saying that Wajid had been admitted to Surana Hospital in Chembur for the past few days, where his condition worsened – “He had many problems”. He had kidney problems. He was transplanted some time ago. Recently he was diagnosed with kidney infection. He was on a ventilator for the last four days. His condition continued to deteriorate. Kidney infection started and then the condition became serious. ”
It is also being said in some reports that Wajid Khan later developed a coronavirus infection. However, this has not been confirmed yet. Wajid Khan started his career as a music composer with Sajid in the 1998 film Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya. After this he did many films with Salman. Gaurav, Tere Naam, Tumko Na Bhool Ke Liye, Partner and the latest Dabangg franchise. Wajid also performed playback singing in some films. He gave voice for Salman in Mera Hi Jalwa, Fevicol Se and Akshay Kumar in Chinta Ta Chinta Chinta Awaaz.
Salman’s songs Pyaar Karo Na and Bhai Bhai released in Lockdown were composed by Wajid Ne along with Sajid. The song was released on YouTube. Wajid had worked as a mentor in the Singing reality show Saregamapa 2012 and Saregamapa Singing Superstar alongside partner Sajid.
The duo composed the theme song Dhoom Dhoom Dhoom Dhadak for the fourth season of IPL, which was voiced by Wajid. As news of Wajid’s death spread, the process of paying tribute to him has begun. Some tweets-
