“I am very happy about the medical education system at Wuhan university. They offer quality education at affordable fees.”
A third-year MBBS student, Aishwarya Hariharan, who has returned to India in January soon after the school has been shut for the vacations said that the Wuhan University School of Medicine has become a center of attraction for MBBS aspirants from Kerala because of its international standard.

The students find the education system very thrilling as the classes are in English for the overseas students and it has an education period of six-years.
Aiswarya from Tripunithura says that in her bath there are about 70 international students and 50 of them are from Kerala.
“In our batch, there are about 70 international students. Interestingly, 50 of them are from Kerala.”
Parents also send their children to Wuhan to study MBBS because of the high standard of the education system and affordable fees.
“I spent Rs 5 to 6 lakhs for fee, accommodation, and food annually for my daughter. This fee amount is very less when compared with many of the self-financing medical institutes with least facilities in India. Besides, studying overseas is beneficial for students as they get international exposure.”
A third-year student named Revathy Krishnan from Thiruvananthapuram is a student studying MBBS in Wuhan said that she is very happy about her institute and the faculty which offers medical education like any other reputed Indian medical institute.
Students claimed that the facilities which are offered by Wuhan University are also recognized by the Government of India and are of International standards.
It is believed that there are around 500 students who are MBBS course at Wuhan University School of Medicine from Kerala.
They are very confident that the Asian giant might overcome the crisis due to the outbreak of the epidemic Coronavirus sooner and would be able to continue the education system at Wuhan.
Although Kerala also has around 35 medical colleges, not all of them could aspire to get a seat in any one of them, as stated by the students.
Educational Consultant and the General Manager of the Asian Educational Consultancy, Jacob George felt that the number of students who go for MBBS studies in China is minimal as the several other preferred countries like Russia.
There are three students who tested positive for the coronavirus in Kerala and two of them are the medicos from Wuhan which is the epicenter of the deadly epidemic which has claimed around 600 deaths in China.
