HARYANA HOME AND HEALTH MINISTER, SH. ANIL VIJ SAID AT PRESENT THE ENTIRE WORLD IS PUTTING UP A TOUGH FIGHT AGAINST THE ONGOING PANDEMIC AND IN SUCH DIFFICULT TIMES, UNDOUBTEDLY EVERYONE IS FIGHTING AGAINST THIS INVISIBLE ENEMY WITH A GREAT FORCE.
Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said at present the entire world is putting up a tough fight against the ongoing Pandemic and in such difficult times, undoubtedly everyone is fighting against this invisible enemy with a great force.
The Home Minister said that never one could have imagined that we would have to fight such a deadly virus and therefore a team of senior practitioners at PGI has been constituted to note every minute details of the steps taken and the proactive strategies adopted by the State Government to fight this Pandemic so that sometime in future the same can be used for research purpose.
The Health Minister was speaking after virtually inaugurating the 42nd RTPCR testing lab of the State Government set up at BK Civil Hospital, Faridabad on Saturday. While the newly inaugurated lab is the 20th lab of the government sector.
Sh. Anil Vij said that if any such Pandemic again hits the State, Country or world even after 50 or 100 years from today, then the future generations can take help from the arrangements and the strategies adopted by the Government so to effectively tackle the then situation.
The Health Minister said that when last year this Pandemic has knocked on the doors of Haryana, then not a single testing lab was there in the State. But then within one year 20 government sector labs have been at up in the State, said Sh. Vij.
He said that soon more such testing labs would be set up in the rest of the districts of the State. He informed that today Haryana has reached the capacity of conducting 92,000 samples daily.
The Health Minister said that the Health Department has been effortlessly and with utmost hard work are fighting the disease.
“I salute all those COVID Warriors including doctors, nursing staff and every other person who have been working day and night to save precious lives,” said Sh. Vij.
He said that initially around 15000 new cases were reported during the second wave but with the efforts made by the Health Department this number has come down to 5000 per day.
At present, of course, we have succeeded in getting some control over the spread of this virus, but the risk has not yet been averted.
He said that in the second wave many Doctors have lost their lives across the country, but despite this, all are fearlessly working day and night in hospital wards to save every precious life.
The Health Minister said that in history, the names of all these doctors who are restlessly rendering their services for humanity would be written in golden letters.
Describing ‘Black Fungus’ as another major health concern, the Health Minister, in his address said that the moment he was informed about this new health threat, he immediately directed the officers concerned to take all necessary steps to dampen the disease in its early stages only and to further ensure timely treatment.
He said that the Central Government has also issued directions regarding this ‘Black Fungus’ disease.
The Minister said that no person in Haryana suffering from this deadly infection should feel helpless for getting the required treatment as the State Government would ensure that every possible help would be given to them.
He said that at present about 332 patients are there who are suffering. ‘Black Fungus’ disease in Haryana and dedicated efforts are being made by the State Government to ensure availability of injection, which is used to create this disease.
The Minister said that about 20 beds have been reserved in all Medical colleges for the treatment of this disease and directions has been issued to all civil hospitals that if any patient is having Black fungus symptoms then he should be immediately referred to the Medical College.
We have made a global tender for this injection and also have requested the Central Government to provide 12000 injections,” said Sh. Anil Vij.
The Health Minister said that during the COVID-19 period, the trust level of people of Haryana has increased for government hospitals.
On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Sh Krishna Pal Gurjar said that extraordinary work is being done under the guidance of Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij.
On this occasion, MLA, Badkhal, Smt. Seema Trikha, Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Sh. Rajeev Arora, Director General Health Services, Smt. Veena Singh, Divisional Commissioner, Sh. Sanjay Joon, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Yashpal and CMO, Sh. Randeep Singh Poonia were present.
