Punjab Talent Search Exam 2020; 6295 Students Appear for the Exam
The Punjab State Talent Search Examination (PSTSE) was held on 16th February 2020 in Ludhiana. This exam is conducted by the State Council of Education Research Training every year for the students of classes 8th to 10th. The exam is conducted for the students of government schools, who will get Rs. 200 every month as the scholarship after clearing the exam.
There are a total of 24 centers that have been set up at the tehsil level for the students. The date of PSTSE has been changed to February 16, from January 19th as it was getting clashed with the teacher eligibility test exam.
7,507 government school students have been registered this year from Ludhiana district for classed 8th and 10th. Around 64,000 have been registered themselves across the state.
Minimum passing marks for the general category is 40% and 32% for the reserved category.
The mode of language for the exam is English and Punjabi. The duration of the exam is three hours and maximum marks are 180. There will be two sections which include Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), both for 90 marks.
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, social studies, and Maths, are the subjects included in the SAT. While the subjects which are included in the MAT are verbal and non-verbal, Maths and Social Science. The timing of the exam is from 10 am to 1 pm.
