Haryana CM inauguration

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is set to inaugurate the newly established Floriculture and Seed Production Centre of Excellence at Munimpur village in Badli constituency, Jhajjar district, on June 17. The centre has been developed as part of the state’s efforts to modernise agriculture and promote horticulture-based farming among growers.

According to officials, the Centre of Excellence will serve as a hub for advanced floriculture and seed production technologies. Farmers will receive training in modern cultivation practices, greenhouse techniques, quality seed production, and scientific crop management. The facility is expected to help growers diversify from traditional crops towards high-value horticulture products, thereby increasing farm incomes and creating new employment opportunities in rural areas.

Preparations for the inauguration were reviewed by senior BJP leader Om Prakash Dhankhar and district administration officials ahead of the Chief Minister’s visit. Special arrangements have been made for security, traffic management and public participation during the event.

The inauguration comes at a time when the Haryana government is aggressively promoting horticulture as a key driver of agricultural growth. Recently, the state launched a ₹2,738-crore sustainable horticulture promotion project and announced several initiatives aimed at boosting crop diversification, improving post-harvest management and strengthening agri-business infrastructure.

Officials believe the new Centre of Excellence will play an important role in transforming Haryana into a leading hub for floriculture and quality seed production. The project is expected to provide farmers with access to cutting-edge technologies, improve productivity and support the state’s long-term goal of expanding horticulture production and agricultural exports.
