The Himachal Pradesh State Open School (HPSOS) has officially declared the 2026 results for Classes 8, 10, and 12. Thousands of students who appeared for the examinations can now check their scores through the official website of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE).
According to the board, the overall pass percentage for Class 8 stood at 61.06 percent, while Class 10 recorded a pass percentage of 54.66 percent. In the Intermediate (Class 12) examination, 64.57 percent of students successfully cleared the exams. The results were announced by HPBOSE Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma.
Officials stated that students from various districts participated in the open school examinations, which are conducted to provide flexible educational opportunities for learners who are unable to continue studies through regular schooling. The HPSOS system has become an important platform for working students, school dropouts, and candidates seeking an alternative mode of education.
Students who have passed the examinations will now be eligible to pursue higher studies in their respective streams. The board has advised candidates to carefully verify their marks and download provisional scorecards from the official portal.
HPBOSE is also expected to release details regarding re-evaluation, rechecking, and supplementary examinations in the coming weeks. Students who are dissatisfied with their marks or were unable to clear the exams will be given an opportunity to improve their performance through the supplementary process.
The declaration of results marks an important step for students planning their academic future for the upcoming session.
