Panipat Newborn Found Abandoned in Plastic Bag

In a shocking incident from Panipat, a newborn baby was found abandoned in a plastic bag in Shiv Nagar on Monday morning.

The incident has raised serious concerns among local residents. Police have started an investigation.


Baby Found Alive by Locals

According to reports, residents of Gali No. 5 noticed movement inside a plastic sack around 6 AM.

When they opened it, they found a newborn baby. The child was only a few hours old. Even the umbilical cord had not been cut.

Locals immediately informed Dial-112 and the police.


Baby Admitted to Hospital

The newborn was first taken to a private hospital. Later, in the presence of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), the baby was shifted to the SNCU ward of the Civil Hospital.

Doctors are currently monitoring the baby’s condition.


CCTV Footage Provides Major Clue

During the investigation, police checked CCTV cameras in the area.

The footage clearly shows a woman leaving the newborn near a garbage spot. She then walks away from the scene.

Police are now trying to identify the woman based on the footage.


Police Investigation Underway

Officials said that efforts are being made to trace the accused woman.

Police are also questioning local residents to gather more information.

Authorities confirmed that strict legal action will be taken once the accused is identified.
