In another important development, Punjab’s NRI Affairs Department announced fresh measures to improve services for Non-Resident Punjabis. The government promised faster and more transparent resolution of complaints related to property disputes, official documentation, and other administrative matters.
Officials added that digital tracking systems and stronger accountability measures will help improve public confidence and speed up grievance redressal.
Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu also appeared before the Punjab State Commission for Scheduled Castes. He offered an unconditional apology over his alleged caste-related remarks after the Commission took suo motu cognisance of the matter.
