Chandigarh, March 8– Haryana Minister of Development and Panchayats Department, Sh. Devender Singh Babli held a review meeting with the officers of Development & Panchayats Department at Haryana Mini Secretariat today to review the ongoing works in the Panchayats of the State.
Sh. Devender Singh Babli said during the meeting that all the villages under ‘Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission’ should be developed like cities. Directing the officers, he said that the objective of this mission is to give a new impetus to the economic development at the local level, as well as bring about a comprehensive change by increasing the basic services and creating well-organized rural clusters, so that comprehensive development can be ensured under the Panchayats within the stipulated time frame. He added that any lapse or negligence in development works will not be tolerated.
The Minister of Development and Panchayats Department said that in these clusters facilities like 24×7 water supply, electricity, facility of solid and liquid waste management at domestic and cluster level, plantation of trees, library, health related facilities, roads within the village, adequate street lights using green technology and public transport facilities, gym etc are included. He also directed the officers present in the meeting to prepare a blue print of development works at the earliest.
Additional Chief Secretary, Sh. Amit Jha and Director General, Sh. RC Bidhan besides other officers were present during the meeting.
