The Haryana Government is providing Ex-Gratia assistance of Rs. 50,000/- per deceased, to the next of kin of the deceased by COVID-19 in the State.
CHEME FOR EX-GRATIA ASSISTANCE TO NEXT OF KIN OF THE DECEASED BY COVID-19
Chandigarh, 3 December – The Haryana Government is providing Ex-Gratia assistance of Rs. 50,000/- per deceased, to the next of kin of the deceased by COVID-19 in the State. Applicant can submit their claim application through the online service “Ex-Gratia assistance to next of kin of the deceased by COVID-19” available at Antyodaya SARAL Portal alongwith two specified documents viz., copy of Death Certificate and copy of report diagnosing deceased as COVID-19 positive.
While giving this information, an official spokesperson said that all application claims will be settled within 30 days of submission of required documents and assistance shall be disbursed through Aadhaar linked Direct Benefit Transfer procedures into the bank account of the beneficiary.
He said that the scheme will be within the preview of Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014. Deputy Commissioner cum Chairman District Disaster Management Authority of the district, in which the deceased was residing, will release the Ex- Gratia to the beneficiary after due verification.
The spokesperson further said that in order to resolve the grievances of the public in such cases, the Government has also constituted two Grievance Redressal Committees at the district level and the aggrieved person can submit his complaint to the concerned Deputy Commissioner or Additional Deputy Commissioner in his office.
