Governor greets people on Mahavir Jayanti
Governor Bandaru Dattatraya has greeted the people on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.
On the occasion, the Governor paid floral tribute to Bhagwan Mahavir’s portrait at Raj Bhavan on Sunday.
In his message, the Governor said that his teachings of non-violence, compassion and selflessness showed an enlightened path for harmony and progress of humanity. Teachings of Bhagwan Mahavir are more relevant today and we should follow them, he added.
He urged the people to celebrate this festival at home by adhering to COVID health and hygiene protocols and to contribute to the common fight against COVID-19.
