Shimla | July 9: The Himachal Pradesh Horticultural Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation (HPMC) has launched a glass bottle buyback scheme to encourage recycling and reduce environmental waste. Under this initiative, people can return empty HPMC glass bottles and receive a fixed amount in return. The scheme aims to promote responsible waste management while encouraging the reuse of glass bottles across the state.
Officials believe the initiative will help reduce the use of new glass bottles and support environmental conservation. At the same time, consumers will receive a financial benefit for returning used bottles instead of throwing them away.

Under the HPMC Buyback Scheme, customers can return empty HPMC glass bottles to authorised collection centres or HPMC outlets. After verifying the bottles, officials will pay the approved buyback amount for each eligible bottle.
