Nuh (Haryana): A shocking case of alleged gang rape has emerged from Haryana’s Nuh district, where a widow was reportedly assaulted by multiple men after she visited a location to complete formalities related to a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) form. According to the police, the woman had gone to meet individuals who had offered to help her complete the verification process for her SIR form. During the visit, she was allegedly taken to an isolated place, where she was sexually assaulted by several men.
The victim later approached the police and lodged a complaint, following which an FIR was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police have also invoked provisions related to gang rape and criminal conspiracy. Officials confirmed that the woman underwent a medical examination as part of the investigation.
