The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET), a key examination for aspiring teachers in the state, has once again come under a cloud of uncertainty. Candidates waiting for confirmation of the exam dates are now confused as speculation grows over whether the test will be conducted on July 4–5 or if there could be further changes in the schedule.
The HTET is conducted by the Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) and serves as an essential qualifying exam for candidates seeking teaching positions in government schools across Haryana. It is considered a crucial step for aspirants aiming to build a career in the education sector, as qualifying HTET is mandatory for recruitment at primary, secondary, and senior secondary levels.
Earlier announcements had indicated a possible schedule for the examination, leading candidates to intensify their preparation accordingly. However, in recent days, uncertainty has resurfaced regarding the final dates, with no clear or updated confirmation from official sources. This has led to growing confusion among aspirants who were expecting a definitive schedule.
The reasons behind the uncertainty are not fully clear at this stage. Reports suggest that administrative formalities and internal approvals may be contributing to delays in issuing a final confirmation. However, there has been no official statement from the Haryana Board of School Education confirming a postponement or alteration of the proposed July 4–5 dates.
Meanwhile, candidates preparing for the examination have expressed concern over the repeated ambiguity. Many aspirants say that shifting or unclear exam schedules disrupt their preparation strategy and create unnecessary stress during a crucial phase of revision. Coaching institutes and educators have also advised students to stay focused but cautious until an official notification is released.
As of now, the examination dates remain unconfirmed, and the situation continues to be fluid. Authorities are expected to release a formal update soon to clarify the schedule and address the concerns of thousands of candidates.
Candidates are advised to rely only on official announcements from HBSE and avoid depending on rumors or unofficial sources. Until a confirmed notification is issued, the status of the HTET exam remains uncertain.
