Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann addressed a public gathering in Hoshiarpur on Wednesday, where he outlined a series of upcoming welfare initiatives, rural development projects, and key governance priorities of the state government. The event formed part of the government’s ongoing public outreach efforts aimed at strengthening direct engagement with citizens.
During his address, the Chief Minister interacted with local residents and highlighted the government’s focus on improving rural infrastructure, enhancing public services, and ensuring the effective delivery of welfare schemes across the state. As part of the announcements made at the event, CM Mann sanctioned a grant of ₹51 lakh for development works in Bihala village. The allocated funds are expected to be used for improving local infrastructure, including basic civic amenities and village-level development projects. Officials present at the event noted that the initiative is part of a broader push to upgrade facilities in rural Punjab.
The Chief Minister emphasized that strengthening village infrastructure remains a key priority of the government, along with improving roads, water supply systems, sanitation, and public service delivery mechanisms. Residents attending the gathering welcomed the announcements and expressed hope that the sanctioned funds would lead to visible improvements in their locality.
