AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal has congratulated the women of Punjab as the state prepares to roll out the Maa-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana on July 1. In a post on social media, he extended his greetings to mothers, sisters, and daughters across the state and described the initiative as a landmark step for women’s empowerment.
Kejriwal announced that eligible women will receive financial assistance directly in their bank accounts on July 1. Women from the General Category will get ₹3,000, covering three months of benefits, while women from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category will receive ₹4,500 for the same period.
He emphasized that every eligible woman in a household will receive the benefit individually. If a family has more than one eligible woman, each beneficiary will receive the honorarium separately. The provision aims to ensure broader financial support for women across Punjab.
Kejriwal called the Maa-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana the world’s largest women empowerment programme. He said the initiative will strengthen women’s financial independence and help them play a greater role in family and social decision-making.
The scheme has generated excitement among women throughout Punjab. Many families expect the financial assistance to provide meaningful economic support and improve household stability. The Punjab government views the programme as a major welfare initiative that can enhance the dignity, security, and economic participation of women.
With the first installment scheduled for July 1, the Maa-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana marks a significant milestone in Punjab’s efforts to support women and promote inclusive development.
