Haryana Accelerates Infrastructure, Water Security and Digital Reforms in June 2026
Chandigarh, June 2026: Haryana continues to witness rapid development across multiple sectors, with the state government announcing major initiatives aimed at strengthening infrastructure, water conservation, industrial growth, and public services. These projects are expected to boost economic activity, improve quality of life, and create new employment opportunities across the state. �

One of the biggest developments this month is the approval of the ambitious ‘Jal Sanrakshit Haryana’ project. The project has received a ₹4,000-crore loan approval from the World Bank and will focus on making Haryana water-secure and self-reliant. With a total project cost of ₹5,714 crore, the initiative will be implemented between 2026 and 2032 and will cover nearly 49 lakh acres across the state. The government aims to improve groundwater recharge, strengthen irrigation systems, and promote sustainable water management practices. �

In another major boost to infrastructure, Haryana has approved power sector expansion projects worth more than ₹913 crore. The plan includes the construction of 30 new substations, modernization of existing facilities, and deployment of advanced monitoring systems to improve electricity distribution.
