SELECTING THE RIGHT FRIENDS

Selecting the right friends
Friends are significant in our life. They shape the way we think, behave and make decisions. Friends are one of the most vital things we do and take care to choose good friends – they are there to help us when we need it most and can make us better people.
A true friend is honest, kind and trustworthy. They motivate us to work hard, go for the goal and stay on track. They rejoice our successes without being jealous and they are there to support us when we are experiencing difficulties. Good friends are sensitive to our emotions, listen to us, and offer us helpful suggestions, when needed. Such friends fill us with happiness, confidence and peace of mind when we spend time with them.

But negative friends can negatively impact as well. They might prompt us to lie, cheat, waste time, or have bad habits. These friendships can lead to stress, disappointment and regrets. Hence, one needs to take care of selecting friends. So, we need to find those who have good values, are respectful to people, and inspire us to be responsible and upright.

A good friendship is based on trust, understanding, loyalty and respect. It is also important to keep in mind that it is as important to be a good friend as to look for a good friend. When you help others, keep promises, and are kind it makes all friendships stronger.
In this age, where social media allows us to meet countless people, it’s important to be mindful of the quality of the friendships that we have, instead of just the quantity. Some true friends are better than many false friends.

To sum up, we can make a better choice of friends and influence in our future in a positive manner. Good friends motivate us to do our best, to help us and make our life more fulfilling. Making good friends is the right way to live a happier, healthier and successful life.
