Investigators trace suspect’s movements as digital evidence strengthens the ongoing probe
PUNE, June 26: The investigation into the death of Pune-based realtor Ketan Agarwal has taken a fresh turn after police uncovered new evidence that they believe could help establish the sequence of events leading to his death at Lohagad Fort. Investigators claim the accused made deliberate efforts to avoid detection by leaving his personal mobile phone behind and carrying another device during the trip.
Police say the alleged move appears to have been an attempt to conceal the suspect’s location and make tracking more difficult. Meanwhile, investigators have recovered several items, including a two-wheeler, clothing, and electronic devices, which are now part of the ongoing forensic examination.
Police rebuild the timeline
According to investigators, officers are carefully reconstructing the events of the day by analysing digital records, witness statements, and recovered evidence. Furthermore, the investigation has focused on understanding the movements of everyone involved before and after the incident.
Officials believe the latest findings will help verify the sequence of events more accurately. Therefore, forensic teams continue examining electronic data and physical evidence collected during the investigation.
Evidence collection continues
Police have seized the vehicle allegedly used during the incident and recovered additional items that may assist the investigation. In addition, investigators recently revisited Lohagad Fort to recreate the sequence of events and compare witness accounts with the available evidence.
Authorities have clarified that the investigation remains active. Similarly, officers continue questioning witnesses while analysing fresh evidence before filing further reports.
Case draws nationwide attention
The case has attracted widespread public attention because investigators allege that what initially appeared to be an accidental fall may instead involve a planned crime. However, police have stated that the final conclusions will depend on the evidence presented during the investigation.
Investigation still underway
Officials say more forensic reports and witness examinations are expected in the coming days. Consequently, investigators will continue reviewing every piece of evidence before submitting the final chargesheet.
Police have urged the public to avoid speculation while the inquiry continues and to rely only on verified updates released through official channels.
