Kinner Kailash Yatra Postponed After Safety Team Identifies Dangerous Route

Authorities Delay Pilgrimage to Protect Devotees

The Himachal Pradesh administration has postponed the Kinner Kailash Yatra after a special reconnaissance team reported serious safety concerns along the pilgrimage route. Officials took the decision to protect pilgrims from potential risks caused by unstable terrain and adverse weather conditions. As a result, the annual pilgrimage will not begin as originally planned.

Safety Team Finds Multiple High-Risk Locations

The reconnaissance team inspected the entire route before the scheduled start of the yatra. During the inspection, members identified several dangerous stretches affected by landslides, falling rocks and damaged pathways. Moreover, recent rainfall weakened parts of the trail and increased the risk of accidents. Therefore, officials decided to postpone the pilgrimage until conditions improve.

Administration Prioritises Pilgrim Safety

District authorities have instructed all concerned departments to monitor the route continuously. Rescue teams and disaster management officials will also assess vulnerable areas before granting permission to resume the pilgrimage. Meanwhile, engineers and local authorities will carry out repair work wherever required. Officials have stressed that pilgrim safety remains their highest priority.

Devotees Asked to Wait for Fresh Schedule

Authorities have advised devotees not to travel towards the yatra route until further notice. Instead, they have requested pilgrims to follow official updates regarding the revised schedule. Additionally, the administration has urged visitors to avoid unnecessary movement in vulnerable mountain areas during the monsoon season.
