Ambala, Haryana, June 2026: Tension gripped Dukheri village in Ambala district after a 19-year-old youth was critically injured in a firing incident allegedly linked to a clash between rival groups. The incident occurred when an altercation between the groups escalated into violence, leading to gunshots being fired in the area.
According to preliminary police investigations, the dispute reportedly stemmed from an ongoing rivalry between local youths. Witnesses stated that an argument quickly turned aggressive, following which members of one group allegedly opened fire. During the incident, the 19-year-old victim sustained serious gunshot injuries and collapsed at the scene.
Local residents immediately rushed the injured youth to a nearby hospital, where doctors admitted him for emergency treatment. Medical officials described his condition as serious, and he continues to remain under close observation. The incident created panic in the village, prompting authorities to deploy additional police personnel to maintain law and order.
