Haryana CM Inaugurates New Aviation Infrastructure at Bhiwani Aerodrome
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated aviation infrastructure projects worth ₹31 crore at the Chaudhary Bansi Lal Aerodrome on 17 June 2026. The initiative is part of the Haryana government’s efforts to strengthen aviation training facilities, improve aviation-related infrastructure, and enhance regional connectivity within the state.

The newly inaugurated facilities include a modern aircraft hangar, an Air Traffic Services (ATS) building, a security post, and a canteen. These additions are expected to significantly improve the operational capacity of the aerodrome and provide better support for pilot training activities. The aerodrome is already an important center for aviation education, and the upgraded infrastructure will help accommodate a larger number of trainee pilots and aviation professionals.

During the inauguration, the Chief Minister emphasized the state’s commitment to developing Haryana as a hub for aviation training and related services. He noted that the aviation sector has immense potential for generating employment opportunities and attracting investment. By strengthening infrastructure at the Bhiwani aerodrome, the government aims to create a more conducive environment for skill development and aviation-based industries.

The project is also expected to contribute to regional connectivity by improving the readiness of aviation facilities in the region. Better infrastructure can support future expansion of aviation services, emergency operations, and training programs. The development aligns with broader national efforts to modernize aviation infrastructure and promote growth in the sector.

Overall, the ₹31-crore investment represents a significant step toward enhancing Haryana’s aviation ecosystem, supporting pilot training, creating employment opportunities, and positioning Bhiwani as an important center for aviation development in northern India.
