Mohali, Punjab: A tragic incident in Mohali’s Aero City area has raised concerns over public safety after a migrant worker died due to an electric shock. The incident took place in C Block, where the worker lost his life after coming in contact with exposed electrical wires connected to a streetlight.
According to initial information, the worker was going to his workplace like any other day when he accidentally touched the damaged wires. The live wires caused a severe electric shock, leaving him critically injured. Despite efforts, he died at the spot.
The incident created anger among local residents, who blamed the electricity department for negligence. People claimed that they had repeatedly reported problems related to faulty streetlights and exposed wires, but officials did not take proper action.
Residents expressed concern over the safety risks caused by damaged electrical connections in public areas. They demanded strict action against those responsible and requested immediate repairs to prevent similar incidents in the future.
