To create a robust emergency policing and safety framework, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini Monday rolled out 312 new Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) for the Haryana Police. The new fleet has been inducted both motorcycles and cars to boost the mobility of the police personnel and also ensure their timely assistance in critical situations.
These vehicles are part of the state government’s continuous initiative to modernize the police infrastructure and improve the emergency response systems all over Haryana. The new ERVs will be strategically introduced in various districts to provide police officers with better access to the site of incidents, officials said.
One of the goals of the program is to decrease the time it takes to respond to emergencies. The Haryana government is striving to bring the average response time down to about seven minutes so as to enable quicker response in case of accidents, crimes, public disturbances etc.
The new fleet should enhance police mobility on the roads and in communities and better facilitate coordination amongst the various emergency response units. The motorcycles will be especially useful in urban areas for officers to maneuver with greater efficiency and the four-wheelers will aid operations when extra personnel and equipment are needed.
The transfer is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to maximise the use of infrastructure and resources to enhance public services and policing. A quick response can be a critical component in increasing the safety of citizens and trust in emergency services.
Haryana Police has been given a massive push with the induction of 312 new Emergency Response Vehicles to ensure timely assistance and ensure law and order in the state.
