BLF leader backs PoJK protests, raising concerns over political rights and governance.

ISLAMABAD, June 10 — Allah Nazar Baloch, chief of the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), has voiced support for the ongoing protest movement in Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PoJK), criticizing Pakistan’s policies and alleging that demands for political rights and self-determination are being suppressed.

In remarks reported by regional media, Baloch said the demonstrations reflect growing public dissatisfaction over governance, economic conditions, and political representation. He argued that the demands of local residents cannot be addressed through coercive measures and called for greater recognition of political and civil rights.

The protests, which have drawn attention in recent months, have centered on issues including economic hardship, access to essential services, employment opportunities, and broader political concerns. Demonstrators have called for reforms and increased public participation in decision-making processes.

Pakistan has consistently rejected allegations of rights abuses in the region, maintaining that Pakistan-administered Kashmir has representative institutions and constitutional protections. Islamabad has stated that it remains committed to maintaining law and order while addressing public concerns through legal and administrative channels.

The developments underscore ongoing tensions surrounding governance and political representation in the region. Analysts note that continued unrest could pose challenges for local authorities and increase pressure for dialogue on socioeconomic grievances.

The situation remains closely watched across South Asia, where issues related to regional stability, political rights, and security continue to attract international attention.
